Three Master Duos successful in Chicago | USA
Two Master Duos from the class of Genova & Dimitrov are among the five Winners of the 2016 International Piano Duo Competition in Chicago - Kim & Lee and Ping & Ting. Also the Master Duo Sumlinska & Findysz ranked among the 10 Semi-Finalists, outpacing even recent ARD Munich Competition top prize winners. 32 duo teams from more than 14 countries around the world applied for participation at this event.

Two piano duos from Genova and Dimitrov's specialized class at the Hanover University of Music with brilliant competition successes - Ping and Ting Chau won the 3rd Prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich and Hae-An Kim and Sun Ho Lee became winners of two Special Prizes at the Bialystok Piano Duo Competition in Poland.
Top Competition Prize Win in Oslo | NOR
One of the master piano duos of Genova & Dimitrov's Specialized Piano Duo Class at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media won the 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Oslo Two Piano Competition "Grieg a deux".
Music and Silence at Cloister Michaelstein | DE
A wonderful week full of enchanting music and divine silence concluded - from 19. to 25.January 2014 in the framework of their annual Master Course at Cloister Michaelstein in Germany Genova & Dimitrov have worked with 6 selected piano duos from different countries, among them - Annachiara Muzzachi und Fabio Ciancio (Italy), Danae und Kiveli Dörken (Germany), Ping & Ting Piano Duo (Hong Kong), Lee & Kim Piano Duo (South Korea), Pavel Raciks und Malgorzata Findysz (Latvia/Poland), Jeong & Sumlinska Piano Duo (South Korea/Poland). According to the tradition, the Master Course ended with the large festive concluding concert of the participants and a lot of champagne. The dates for the next edition were already fixed - 19-25.January 2015.
Twin Pack Piano Success in Miami | USA
Having won 15 years ago the world's most prestigious piano duo contest - the International Dranoff Two Piano Competition in Miami themselves, Aglika Genova and Liuben Dimitrov - the Genova & Dimitrov piano duo - not only were appointed Artistic Directors of the renowned event, but also celebrate very recently enormous success as teachers of piano duo teams as well -
at the just concluded 12th Dranoff Competition in Miami the duo Yoo and Kim from South Korea - Master Students at Genova & Dimitrov's piano duo class at the Hannover University of Music - has won the 2nd prize, 15.000 US dollars and extensive concert engagements. The duo Ping & Ting from Hong Kong - Master Students at Genova & Dimitrov's piano duo class at the Hannover University of Music as well and junghest competitors this year - was placed 4th only after six months of education under Genova & Dimitrov. Herewith the Hanover University of Music and its 2-years young specialized piano duo class under A.Genova's & L.Dimitrov's guidance could again proof itself as piano duo training center with highest international standards.
Live Auditions Round of the Int. Dranoff Two Piano Competition Miami | CHN, DE, USA
In their position as Jury Chairpersons Genova & Dimitrov have accomplished the 2nd Round of the International Dranoff Two Piano Competition Miami and could successfully conclude the Preliminary Phase of the world's leading piano duo contest by choosing the 8 Semi Finalist teams. The Live Auditions took place at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, at the University of Music in Hannover and at the Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Piano Duo Masters Students of G&D again successful in San Marino | IT
One Masters Piano Duo team from Genova & Dimitrov's class wins the 3rd Prize at the International Piano Duo Competition in San Marino. The two Korean pianists could establish themselves among the competition prize winners as the only ones with Asian descent. The 1st Prize was not awarded.
"Twin Pack Piano" in Hannover extends already to 3 concert evenings | DE
The already three concert evenings comprising 3rd edition of the Hannover University of Music Piano Duo Show Case took place at the end of February 2012. 17 selected teams of the G&D's Specialized Piano Duo Studies Programme appeared at the long time in advance reserved Uhlemeyer Concert Hall with over 25 significant works from diverse stylistic eras of the piano duo literature.
1.Prize at the International Bialystok Piano Duo Competition | PL
One further duo team from the Genova & Dimitrov class at the Hannover University of Music has won the 1.Prize and the Special Prize at the 5th International Bialystok Piano Duo Competition in Poland. Born in Korea, the two pianists could prevail among the 25 duo team participants from 12 countries (among them recent Munich ARD Competition and Miami Two Piano Competition winners). The awards include a prize money of several thousand euros, numerous concert engagements for the winners are following.

One Korean team from the Genova & Dimitrov piano duo forge have won the 1.Prize and the Special Schubert Prize at the long-standing International Franz Schubert Piano Duo Competition in the Czech town of Jesenik.
Master Course Cloister Michaelstein concluded successfully | DE
The Master Course of the G&D Duo and of Prof.Bernd Goetzke at Cloister Michaelstein (Blankenburg/Harz, Germany) concluded successfully with the festive concert of selected participants and long-lasting applause. More than 30 Solo and Duo pianists from over 15 countries came together into the Cloister. During the 5 course days they were able not only to work intensively with the course leaders, but also to interchange between each other, to establish new friendships or just to enjoy the wonderful nature around. The enthusiastic response both by the participants and by the audience made the decision for a future realization of the Master Course Piano Solo and Piano Duo on a regular basis almost unavoidable. Master Course Cloister Michaelstein ends with record-breaking number of participants | GE
The Duo's Annual Master Course at Cloister Michaelstein 2017 (Blankenburg/Harz, Germany) ends with record-breaking number of participants. Due to the enormous interest, for first time this year Genova & Dimitrov have taught not only piano duos but also solo pianists. A premiere that will continue in 2018 and beyond.

Master piano duo from Genova & Dimitrov's class wins 1st Prize in Seoul | KOR
The Master Piano Duo Kim & Lee from Genova & Dimitrov's class at the Hanover University of Music won the 1st Prize at the Korea Piano Duo Competition in Seoul. Along with 4000 Euro prize money, it consists of concert engagements, as well as of long-term financial support for the two pianists from the Korean Piano Duo Association as encouragement to participate at further competitions and master courses. The Competition took place on 29. and 30.June 2015 at the "Young San" Art Center in Seoul.
G&D - the Mentors of the 2014 Gstaad Music Festival Sommets Musicaux | CH
Along to their own concert appearances at the 2014 "Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad" Music Festival Genova & Dimitrov dedicated themselves throughout the entire duration of the festival intensively to their role of Mentors of the 8 younger piano duos from all round the world, who appeared in recitals at the daily afternoon concerts in the Chapel of Gstaad and have supported them with advises and ideas. The Festival jury led by the Artistic Director of the Festival Thierry Scherz has awarded the Ping & Ting Chau piano duo (Master Duo students in the class of Genova & Dimitrov at the Hanover University of Music) with the CHF 5.000 "André-Hoffmann-Preis" for best performance of the work of the Composer in Residence 2014 Benjamin Yusupov.
Double Competition Success of Genova & Dimitrov's students in Rome | IT
The piano duo Kim & Lee from the the class of Genova & Dimitrov has won two prizes at the 2014 International Chopin Piano Duo Competition in Rome. Hae-an Kim and Sun Ho Lee, Hanover University of Music Master Piano Duo Students, have won the 2nd Prize in the "Two Piano Section" and the 3rd Prize (without assigned 1st Prize) in tne "One Piano Fourhands Duet Section".
Inaugural Concert at Cloister Michaelstein uppon Blankenburg/Harz | DE

Brilliant!", in this way the Volksstimme newspaper discribes G&D's concert in the Refectory, which rang in the season's beginning of both the Cloister Concerts and of the Master Course for Piano Solo and Piano Duo at the Music Academy Cloister Michaelstein uppon Blankenburg/Harz. The subsequently following yearly Master Course has guided numerous participants from 12 countries to the Cloister Michaelstein and has concluded with a remarkable closing concert of selected participants under the slogan "Keyboard Dreams".
1.Round of the Dranoff Two Piano Competition Miami accomplished successfully | USA
Genova & Dimitrov have screened the candidates' DVDs at the 1.Round of the world's biggest and most important piano duo contest - the Dranoff Two Piano Competition Miami, as its Artistic Directors. The procedure took place in camera in New York. According to it, 16 teams from the entire world were invited to appear at the 2.Round of the Competition - the Live Auditions in Beijing, Hannover and Chicago in December.
Students duo success at the All German Music Competition in Bonn | DE
The students duo Kim/Bodendorff from the class of Genova & Dimitrov has won the All German Music Competition 2012 in Bonn in the category Piano Duo. Consequently, the only two months young ensemble has been unanimously included into the BAKJK National Promotion List of Selected Young Musicians of the National German Music Council.

For first time in history of one of the leading Piano SOLO training centers worldwide a Piano DUO Show Case took place - 10 selected teams of the G&D's specialized Piano Duo class at the Hannover Music Academy appeared. Both evening concerts were hosted by Prof.Peter Apel. Even one of the most significant painter of our time could be won by G&D for this initiative - Rosina Wachtmeister gave her personal permission her painting "Quatre Mains" ("Four Hands") to become main motive of the official poster. In the future the event will take place on regular basis at the end of each semester. New "Piano Duo Master Study Programme" 2010/11 State University of Music and Drama Hanover | DE
Simultaneously to the first significant competition wins, achieved by their students at the Hanover University of Music and Drama, Aglika and Liuben have decisively conceptualized the newly established "Piano Duo Master Study Programme" 2010/11, constructed and adjusted it up to the last detail with the Piano Department Unit. As first piano training center in history German- and worldwide the Hanover University of Music integrates the education of Piano Duo playing into the "Keyboard Master Study Programme" together with the Piano Solo, the Organ and the Historic Keyboard Instruments. Herewith the Hanover University sets a clear sample for the soloistic-concertante approach and the high requirements to this piano genre, as well as for the particular valuation and the enormously increasing interest, which it is enjoying during the last years.
